Nikka Whisky Single Malt Miyagikyo Bourbon Wood Finish

Nestled between mountains and two rivers on Japan's Honshu island makes for perfect conditions to produce a wonderful dram packed with a huge flavour profile. A delicately flavoured Japanese single malt with a refreshing bourbon barrel influence matured for one year before its bottling in 2018. This is a limited edition release for the European market and therefore hard to come across with just 1,926 bottles produced. On the nose it produces aromas of white stone fruits, cinnamon spice, oaky vanilla and a floral bouquet. Followed by fruity notes of plum, pear and white peach accompanied with a hint of vanilla, liquorice, malt and saline notes. The finish comprises jammy forest fruits cut through by a dash of lemon citrus.
