Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé 2012

As the largest independent family-managed Champagne producer, Louis Roederer rank amongst the region's absolute finest. Roederer have become pioneers in biodynamic farming & by 2012 all 78 hectares the “Cristal Estates” are farmed using biodynamic methods. By 2021 Roederer had 115 hectares certified organic. All the grapes in Cristal & other vintage cuvee’s come from their own vineyards which is impressive and a symbol of quality and integrity. Roederer Cristal has become perhaps the world's most recognised prestigious cuvée champagnes. This rosé has a bright pink hue with delicate salmon-pink tints. The delicate, subtle bouquet opens with elegant aromas of flower petals, dried fruit and nuts, which then give way to zesty notes of red berries, such as redcurrant and wild strawberry. The palate features an explosion of intense, rich, fresh flavours, complemented by notes of hazelnut and a powdery, almost oily, mouthfeel, characteristic of the finest Pinot Noirs. There is an impression of chalkiness on the finish, with zesty notes reminiscent of candied citrus and yuzu.
