Highland Park Fire Edition Aged 15 Years Single Malt Scotch Whiskey

This 15 Year Old single malt is encased in a specially-commissioned, crimson glass decanter, as an ode to the battle of fire and ice that signified Ragnarök, the end of the old word and the beginning of the new in Norse mythology.

Entirely matured in refill Port seasoned casks – a first for Highland Park – the result is a vibrant whisky with the natural hue of glowing flames. Damsons, cinnamon, dried fruit and chocolate dance on the tongue, before sizzling to an intense fruity finish. 

On the nose pumpkins and beetroots present, accompanied by blackcurrant leaves, moss and fern. Coal smoke and menthol contribute to an earthy coastal inspired aroma, honouring the local area of its Islay distillery. The taste certainly extends this by offering notes of smoky port, nutmeg, cinnamon and blood oranges which culminate in a long smoky finish marred by notes of spiced raspberries.
