Ardbeg Perpetuum 200 Years Special Edition

This Ardbeg Perpetuum Bicentenary Release is a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky crafted in 2015 to mark the 200th anniversary of Ardbeg Distillery. Perpetuum was an important launch for the celebrations of Feis Ile, the Islay Festival of Whisky & Music in 2015, which are commemorated on the bottle's packaging. This whisky is the result of a careful combination of old and young whiskies from both bourbon and sherry casks  In the past 10 years 6 different prestigious Ardbeg’s expressions have won World’s Best Single Malt, World Whisky of the Year and scotch Whisky of the Year. The nose consists of a melee of fruit from juicy green apples, to dried apricots, from the sharpness of lemon zest to hints of blackberries encased in a spiced cinnamon and sweet vanilla combination and culminated by subtle undertones of oak and charred barrel. The palate is adorned by a rich, velvety texture of dark chocolate, sea salt and toasted hazelnuts. The finish is medium to long created by lingering smoky peat, sweet caramel and lime peel, slate and ash.
