Translating to “white crane” in Ainu, ‘Saronunkamuy’ is the first official single malt release from Akkeshi Distillery, located in a National Park on the northern Hokkaido Island of Japan. Aged a minimum of 3 years and exhibiting notes of strawberry, chocolate, yuzu, cherries, & vanilla, it’s a true delight to taste the single malt evolution of Akkeshi’s previous “New Born” releases. Only selected malt whiskeys from bourbon, sherry, red wine and Mizunara barrels were used in this wonderful whisky.
